Rubedo Sistemos, a Lithuania-based pioneer company of mobile robotics solutions, together with the SME project partner Eccum, received EUR 480K from the European Regional Development fund for the implementation of a project called AURORA (project code J05-LVPA-K-01-0105). The project is part of the 2014-2020 European Union Investment Fund Operational Programme's 1st priority Scientific Research, Experimental Development and Innovation implementation measure J05-LVPA-K.
The goal of the project is to create an Autonomous Robot Remote Assistance (AURORA) system for tele-operated and autonomous delivery of routine services to patients and elderly, thus allowing conventional human staff to concentrate their efforts onserving custom requests. The system will consist of a mobile robot capable of autonomous navigation and perception along with the complementary services for unmanned mission planning, control, and fleet management activities.
The successful implementation of the project will have a positive impact on the company's future business development as well as on Lithuania's economic development.
